| Incest in the Sims 3??? |
This image is depicting my Sim's family tree. The sims in question (Declan and Cynthia Dobbs) are indicated. They have the same parents. Cynthia is a few days older than Declan. We all know that Sims3 has bugs, but this is more. This is hidden incest. Here's how this incest happened: Cynthia became a young adult, and I moved her out of the house. The next day, there was a messing saying the prom was in a few days. The following day, Declan got a phone call saying "Cynthia is asking Declan to the prom!" I assumed it was a different Cynthia, so I said yes. At prom, I got a message saying "Cynthia asked Declan to be her boyfriend!" It turns out, his sister was his prom date. A few days after prom, Declan aged up and I moved him out of the house, assuming the relationship was a fluke. However, it continued unsupervised, as neither he nor she was not part of the main family. As I was checking the family tree, I saw that there is now a yellow line connecting them, and upon checking it, it shows them as engaged. As I am EXTREMELY curious about this odd glitch, I am going to let this continue.
I would also like to be clear that I use NO mods or hacks of ANY kind. I have no CC. I do have store content (both free and items I have paid for) and I use the cheat "testingcheatsenabled true" but I do NOT use it to affect relationships. I only use it for the "teleport me here" option for faster travel, since I tend to build large houses. And occasionally I use it to save my sims from sleep deprivation and starvation.
Should this be allowed? Should EA have engineered the game so this COULD NOT happen? Do you find it interesting? Please feel free to comment with your thoughts.

ReplyDeleteI have every expansion pack but university, and I got a message telling me Pip Goodfellow and Frieda Goodfellow were flirting. I think it is not a fluke or glitch.
ReplyDeleteSame happened to me yesterday. I moved Matthew Hamming, the 5-star celeb in Bridgeport to Sunset Valley. My CAS char got preggy with him and had a daughter. By the time, she was a teenager, he aged into an elder and asked my permission to go with matthina into prom. I really thought it was nothing and its normal. I was surprised Matthina had her first kiss and has been interacting romantically with her father while on prom. And when she got home, I looked closely at the prom pic and I was quite shocked 'cause it was really the two of them. And when Matthina became a young adult, matthew her father became her boyfriend but she can't interact romantically. I had to be mean to breakup the weird relationship =/.

ReplyDeleteI think its fine because its interesting and cool. Also for my vampire sims I inbreed with Woohoer mod so my vamps babies stay 'pure'. Totally okay.
